Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is the first installment of many a cookie recipe, since I am as you know a cookie monster. Mom used to make these for us when I was little, they of course were my original favorite cookie, but now I have sooo many, as I am sure you will soon find out.


Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Combine dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, cream sugars, eggs and butter. Add dry ingredients into butter and sugar mix.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-12 minutes . Watch these because it’s hard to tell when they are done, usually closer to 9 minutess then let them rest out of the oven on the pan for s few minutes before placing them on the cooling rack.
