Tahini dressing is usually used ad a condiment for falafel. It’s a really simple dressing that is good slapped on any sandwich, or used as a vegan alternative to a creamy salad dressing. It can be thinned out with water, oil or lemon juice or left thickens for a sandwich spread. The way I like it is really fairly garlicky, so be warned, but feel free to adjust.
- 1/4 cup of tahini
- 2-3 tbs olive oil
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 -1/2 cup of water, depending on taste
- 1 large clove of garlic, grated
- salt and pepper to taste
Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix. Chill at least 30 minutes. I find it tends to set thicker, so you might need to add a little water after it chills if you like it runnier.
